Guide to Computation of Customs GST

Singapore Customs imposes GST only if the individual package with a VS shipment number imported into Singapore, where the CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) amount exceeds SGD 400 (even from the same merchant).

You can consolidate* unlimited packages from the same or different merchants and pay only one base charge and Customs GST will not apply if each package is less than SGD 400!

*Consolidation refers to consolidating of packages for payment under the same vPOST shipping bill. The physical packages may be forwarded to Singapore separately depending on the date the packages are received at the vPOST shipping address for processing.

**The number of packages you can consolidate is unlimited; however there is a consolidation period of 14 days beginning from the date your first package is processed. After the consolidation period, a holding fee of $10 per package will be imposed for every 7 days or part thereof during which the shipping charge of a package is not paid.
