Guide to Shopping and Shipping through vPOSTJAPAN

Here at vPOSTJAPAN, we have gathered some information on online shopping and how you can get the most out of your shipping through vPOSTJAPAN. We hope that this could guide you through and help you to enjoy more savings.

Shipping Tips
Change Delivery Address
Not getting your items on time? Not to worry, just log in and click on "Change Delivery Address" and we will deliver your parcels to the address stated on your next purchase. Still inconvenient to receive items at your office? Use SAMPlus instead. You can collect your parcel at your convenience, 24 hours a day!
Stretching your shipping dollars
If you are shopping at a site that offers a wide range of products and intend to buy more than one item it is a good practise to buy items at one go (i.e in one checkout). This way, you will save on shipping and handling fees. Furthermore, when you accumulate your orders, some Merchants might even waive your local shipping charges based on your total value.

And at vPOSTJAPAN you can also save more when you consolidate your items from various Merchants. Just inform us through email that you are waiting for more items to arrive. However, please note our time frame of 2 weeks.
Items exceeding 20 kg in either volumetric/actual weight
Please be informed that items exceeding 20 kg in either volumetric or actual weight will be shipped to your Singapore address 5-8 working days upon payment of vPOST shipping charges. For vPOSTJAPAN Shipping Service, package(s) are only being shipped out from Japan once on a weekly basis. Please expect a slight delay for the delivery of package(s) from Japan.
Buying through PayPal Registered Shops
If you are getting items and paying through PayPal, do let us know the Merchant name for ease of processing and to avoid a mismatch of item. Alternatively, you can send the Merchant receipt to us instead.

Packing of items
Fragile items or Special Care Items
We do not advise shipping of Fragile or Special Care items. However, if you need to, please ensure proper packaging by your Sender. We do not take responsibility for any damages that may occur during the entire handling, shipping and delivery from the vPOSTJAPAN address to your Singapore address.

Reduction in volumetric weight
For items under the 'Others' Category, you can advise Merchants/Sellers (in the case of buying through auction websites) to pack the items as compact as possible under "Special Instructions". This way, you can prevent yourself from being over-charged on the volumetric weight.

On-time delivery
Email your purchase invoice to invjapan@vpost.com.sg within 24 hours of your purchase to avoid delay in delivery. Also, pay within the time frame, and your items will be delivered to your home within that week. Remember to include your VP Number in your delivery address to ensure smooth transition and process. Insufficient information may result in delay in shipment.
Estimation of shipping charges
We have a vPOSTJAPAN calculator that allows you to estimate the shipping charges. You can check with Merchant regarding the dimensions and the weight of the parcels that they will send. Then, you can make use of our calculator to estimate your shipping charges.
Invoice
Always save/keep a copy of your invoice or receipt that you have purchased from your Japan Merchant.
